Hi and welcome to our RMB Belly Ringer Series! Our sixteenth interview is with Mr. Lorenzo, our first male RMB Belly Ringer!
Mr. Lorenzo was happy to share his experience as a male who rocks a belly ring! He was inspired by his mom, who also has a belly ring, and went through the procedure when he was younger.
Mr. Lorenzo loves to rock his belly ring, with different variations. He also wants to let others know that it does not matter what sex you are and do not let other people decide on what you want to do. Go get a belly piercing!
What/who inspired you to pierce your belly?
My mother had always inspired me with everything I do. She taught me to love my body and who I am. She has a lot of tattoos and always wore crop tops during the summertime. One day she picked me up from school with a freshly pierced belly button and ever since, I though belly button piercings looked amazing.
When I was 15, I asked her if she could take me to get my belly button pierced. She said if I kept my grades up, she would take me on my 16th birthday. The day finally came and she got the bottom of her belly button pierced while I got the top of mine pierced. I have never been without a belly button ring since!
2) Did the piercing hurt when you got it?
For me, it didn’t hurt when I got it pierced. Even if it did, I still wanted it bad. The tattoo shop was very professional and had a relaxed environment. The girl did a very good job.
3) How was the aftercare?
The aftercare that the piercer recommended was with the H2Ocean at least 3 times per day. She said the better I took care of it, the better and faster it would heal.
4) How many rings do you have and which ones are your favorite?
Over the years, I have acquired too many belly button rings to count. I have a few I wear on a regular basis but it all has to do with the mood I’m in. I generally prefer a basic CBR ring, a horse shoe (or curved barbell), or a banana bell.
5) To anyone who wants to pierce their belly, what would you tell them?
Coming from a straight male with a belly button ring, go for it! It’s your body and you only get one life. Always be happy and don’t care what others think.
